This Just In
(LEEANE and SCOTT, at a small, secluded table in a low-lit restaurant. Water, drinks and soup have been served already. They stare at platter of sushi-for-two.)
LEANNE
Oh my God, this fish is raw.
SCOTT
Yeah. That’s what sushi is.
LEANNE
How long have they been doing this?
SCOTT
Well, a while.
LEANNE
Wow. (Beat.) Oh my God.
SCOTT
What?
LEANNE
I just realized...
SCOTT
What?
LEANNE
This is a date, isn’t it? We’re on a date.
SCOTT
Yeah.
LEANNE
Wow. How long has this been going on?
SCOTT
Since...since I picked you up.
LEANNE
So you just spontaneously decided in your car, that this was going to be a date.
SCOTT
No, I called you Monday, and I asked you out.
(A heavy man in a floral kimono enters. He takes their soup bowls and exits.)
